Evening along Fallen Leaf Lake Fallen Leaf Lake: Part of the Kokanee Trails 10K

DESCRIPTION

This is the location of the Kokanee Trail Runs in early October. 5K, 10K, or 13-mile loops over mostly trail with beautiful views of Taylor Creek and Fallen Leaf Lake. The 13 mile (half-marathon) trail includes a loop around Tahoe Mountain.
 

Bullet - Dog Leash-free dogs OK on most sections but should be leashed on the trails through Fallen Leaf Lake Campground.


 

Bullet - Outhouse No bathrooms but lots of trees for privacy.

DIRECTIONS

From the "Y" in South Lake Tahoe, take HWY 89 towards Tahoe City. Approximately 1.5 miles from Camp Richardson, you will cross over Taylor Creek. Turn LEFT (at the brown SnoPark Sign) onto Cathedral Road and park just before the first green gate, approximately 200 yards up the road.
