View of the Carson Range from Centennial Park A perfect place for a mid-winter run

DESCRIPTION

Varying distance loops from 1 mile to 5-7 miles. Quite rocky in places and can be muddy after snow or rain. The run offers spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada to the west across Eagle Valley and there's a very good chance you'll see wild horses along the way.

Bullet - Dog Leash-free dogs OK on all sections but DO NOT let them chase the horses.

Bullet - Outhouse Limited bathroom facilities of the sagebrush variety.

DIRECTIONS

Drive out of Carson City on US Highway 50 towards Fallon for approximately 3.5 miles. Turn LEFT onto Centennial Park Drive (just before the lights at Arrowhead) and drive into the park, past the golf course and baseball diamonds. Park at the trailhead sign, behind the baseball fields, just before the road circles back to the golf course.

We usually carpool from Round Hill Safeway.
