DESCRIPTION

Mostly single-track and fire roads, with wonderful views of the Pine Nuts to the east and the Carson Range of the Sierra Nevada to the west. This is a wonderful run in the winter when snow clogs our mountain trails.

This is a dog-friendly run in winter but watch out for rattlesnakes in warm weather

There is a bathroom in the park at the trailhead.

Take US HWY 395 south out of Carson City, past Jacks Valley Road. Turn Right (West) at the lights at Mica Drive. We often meet at the Chevron Station at this intersection and caravan in to the park from there.

Turn left onto Vista Grande Blvd, approximately 2 streets after the Chevron Station. Turn Right onto Amador Circle and immediately right onto James Lee Park Road. Drive all the way to the trailhead, up against the hills.

We usually carpool from Round Hill Safeway.
