DESCRIPTION

A beautiful 9-mile Sierra Foothill run around Jenkinson Reservoir on either campground road, single track trail, and about a mile of highway verge. Click here for a map of the trail.

This is a marginal dog-friendly run. Dogs must be leashed within the park at all times. The single-track portion is narrow and winding with limited visibility and is shared with cyclists and horses. The highway portion of the loop is very narrow. Also check your pup for ticks after the run, regardless of the season.

There is a bathroom by the park gate and several in the campgrounds.

Take Hwy 50 West to Pollock Pines. Exit at Sly Park Road. Turn Left onto Sly Park Road and go about 4.5 miles to Jenkinson Lake Recreation Area, on your Left. Park close to Sly Park Road, before you enter the park gate, to avoid paying the day-use fee.
