TAHOE RIM TRAIL 50K/50M/100M REFUND POLICY

Requests for cancellation and refund should be submitted by no later than May 15th. The refund amount will be the original registration fee, minus a $30 administrative fee. As an alternative to refund, a registrant may request a "one year only" carry over of their registration. This option would ensure the registrants entry within the allocated 400 person limit for the following year. Carry over registrations not used the following year will be forfeited. Refunds will not be issued for carry over registrations. In general, refunds and carry over registrations will not be issued after May 15th. Limited exceptions, such as verified sudden family emergencies/bereavements and military activation, will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Race Director. The Tahoe Rim Trail 50K/50M/100M Endurance Runs is a beneficiary event with all net proceeds donated equally between to the Tahoe Rim Trail Association’s trail maintenance program, the Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park’s backcountry mountain bike patrol and other supportive organizations. The Sagebrush Stompers and Tahoe Mountain Milers Running Clubs are both 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. We do not make any profit from this event. All supplies, food product, clothing items, awards, signs and other items that are not part of a sponsorship contribution are purchased prior to the event in numbers adequate to accommodate the total number of possible registrants. If unlimited refunds were issued they would result in either a direct loss to our clubs’ coffers and/or would reduce the final contribution to our beneficiaries. In addition, we would end up with products and perishable items we would not be able to get refunds ourselves. We sincerely hope you understand our decision. |
