All members receive the e-newsletter, notifications of races, club events, volunteer opportunities, board meetings, socials, and receive membership to RRCA.
You can sign up any time during the year (preferably by mid-November for insurance purposes). However, membership resets January 1st each year. We will send you a reminder!
THE BENEFITS
RACE DISCOUNTS
All members who come out to volunteer at any of our races, club events, or aid stations supporting other races will be eligible to receive discounts toward races for that calendar year. Volunteering is fun and it gives back to the community! We would love to have all our member’s smiling faces at our events and other local events we are involved in!
CLUB SWAG
All members who participate in group runs, volunteering at races/events, or attend club socials and/or board meetings will receive club swag. We are trying to increase participation amongst our membership and would love to have everyone come out! In return, we will give you some club swag!
WESTERN STATES TICKET
This hasn’t changed, but we wanted to make sure that everyone was aware of the volunteer qualifications to be eligible for the drawing of our one Western States Ticket.
- Must have a Western States Qualifier
- Must volunteer at our Western States aid station (Lyon Ridge)
- Must volunteer at either our aid station at Silver State 50/50 or volunteer at TRTER
- Must volunteer at either Escape from Prison Hill or Kokanee Trail Runs

Bi-MONTHLY MEETINGS – Club and board meetings are held bi-monthly. All members and interested individuals are welcome. The location of these meetings are held in Carson City. You’ll receive an invitation via email.
E-NEWSLETTER – All of our members receive our e-newsletter featuring upcoming race and volunteering information, fitness and other informative articles, activities calendar, stories from our members about their personal successes or memorable occurrences and much more.
AUTOMATIC ROAD RUNNERS CLUB OF AMERICA MEMBERSHIP – including a subscription to the RRCA quarterly membership e-newsletter “Keeping Pace” by Jean Knaack, RRCA Executive Director. The RRCA also provides online access to “Inside Track” member newsletter outlining best practices in governing and managing running clubs and events, as well as a blog dedicated to running news called “Club Running”.
ACTIVITIES – Track workouts, beginner and novice runs, club picnics and barbecues, trips, social events and adventure runs through some of Lake Tahoe’s beautiful forested areas and in nearby Desolation, Granite Chief, Mt. Rose and Moukelumne Wildernesses, and the Meiss Back Country.
SUPPORTING HEALTHY COMMUNITIES – Tahoe Mountain Milers Running Club believes in building a healthy and health-conscious community. We strive to bring the running community together as often as busy schedules will allow and encourage our members to get involved. We want to be the community club for fun weekly runs, meeting other runners to share your journey with and inspiration to get outside and explore this beautiful area we live in while volunteering for and supporting other healthy community organizations and charities.

Club Membership Application Waiver
I know that running and volunteering to work in club activities are potentially hazardous activities. I should not enter and run in club activities unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a club official relative to my ability to safely complete the activity. I assume all risks associated with running and volunteering to work in club activities, including, but not limited to, falls; contact with other participants; the effects of weather, including high heat and/or humidity; the conditions of the road or trail and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration your acceptance of my application for membership, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act in my behalf, waive and release the Tahoe Mountain Milers Running Club and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in these club activities even though liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the person(s) named in this waiver.
