October 30 marked the return of the Nevada Day Classic to Carson City. The 2M/8K run/walk has been a staple of the Nevada Day celebrations since 1989. This year, Tahoe Mountain Milers partnered with Guide Dogs for the Blind, Kaia Fit, and Lynn Mentzer Timing to put on a fun, family-friendly event.
Over 350 runners and walkers participated in this year’s event. Adam Kimble (Tahoe City) and Anne Ruthenbeck (Carson City) took the top spots in the 2M. Andrea Baye and Bret Sarnquist finished first in the 8K. All results are now available on UltraSignup.
Proceeds from the race benefit Guide Dogs for the Blind, Reno.
The Tahoe Mountain Milers would like to thank all our volunteers, partners, and participants. You truly made this event exceptionally fun. See you next year.
